We are proud to present this Graal Collection as a celebration of the rainforests around the world. It is a well-known and disturbing fact that our rainforests are rapidly being destroyed by logging and development. They currently occupy less than five percent of the world's total land surface, but they contain more than 50 percent of all the organisms on our planet. These rainforests are a vital natural resource. It is important that we all make an effort to understand these delicate eco-systems. We should work towards protecting their future and ensuring their unique beauty and natural energy is passed on to future generations. We hope this collection of art glass will help raise awareness of the threats to the future of our rainforests.
The Rainforest Graal Collection has been inspired by nature. Each individual piece signifies a connection to the landscape. These Graal works immerse you in a visual impression of the 'Forest of Rain' captured in a three-dimensional form. The Graal technique holds the vivid colours and striking decorations at the centre of each piece, suspended in several layers of thick crystal glass. Each hand-blown piece is unique, and is brought to life by the captivating reflections of light and depths of shade working through the layers.
